About Us
Elaine Myers - Lets Write

Let's Write was formed in Spring 2006 by Elaine Myers. For many years Elaine has enjoyed writing to her friends and family and always liked writing to them on more interesting stationery and not just plain white paper. When she looked around her local area few, shops were selling 'different' stationery and Elaine decided to open her own shop to fill this gap in the market.

Let's Write stocks a selection of stationery items with a difference; from decoratively designed note pads and writing paper to note-pads and pens you can use in the rain. Let's Write also stocks an assortment of gifts for visitors to take home with them albeit many of the products on sale are equally enjoyed by people from the local area too. In addition you will find many scenic items which are decorated in images and designs of the Lake District.

Let's Write is located above the café at Wetheriggs, a centre of creativity. The site is has many small businesses who make this attraction a truly outstanding place to visit for both tourists and locals alike. There are activities available for children to participate in, along with the fact that much of the site is undercover which makes Wetheriggs a great place to visit all year round and there is no car parking or entry-fee to pay.

Let's Write hope that you will take the opportunity to visit us and see for yourself the great range of cards, gifts and stationery products that we have available.

Let's Write Will Be Moving

The current owners of Wetheriggs Pottery have allowed the site to deteriorate to such an extent that they have now decided to close this popular tourist attraction - and at very short notice to the tenants!!!

We hope that we will find a new location in the Penrith area as soon as possible to re-open Let's Write!

As soon as we have found a new location for our shop we will let you know here on our website, so please check back reguarly to find out where we have moved to.

Please note that the Animal Rescue Center will continue to be at Wetheriggs and they would really welcome your ongoing support for the rescued animals, so please keep visiting them whenever you can.
